
Pool Runner Party
Time: 45 minutes
Ages: 6 and up
Description: Prior to getting in the pool, participants meet at the lifeguard chair for rules and a swim test. Participants use our pool runner mat, a long mat that floats on top of the water and supports their weight. They will also be given space to play swim and have a great time in our indoor heated pool. A lifeguard will be in the pool conducting the activity. Towels are provided.
Rules:
Swim Test
- Swim Test: All children 12 & under are required to take a brief swim test in the recreation pool prior to use of the aquatics facilities. Lifeguards may administer the swim test in the competition pool if necessary. Pool depths: recreation pool: 5 feet; competition pool: 9 feet.
- Swim Test Requirements: Swim 25 yards (1 length of the Bellevue Club pool), front crawl, face in the water, no goggles, no stopping, no touching the ground or using the lane line for support.
Unsuccessful swim test? If the lifeguard determines they are unable to pass the swim test, they are welcome to swim in the shallow area.
Pool Runner Rules
- Don't Swim under the pool runner
- One child at a time and in one direction on the Pool Runner
- Walk on the pool deck
- Hands to ourselves
- Due to the extreme safety hazard that can be caused by breaking any of the above rules, participants who do so will be asked to sit out of the activity
In the event of an unforeseen pool contamination, Bellevue Club Aquatics staff may relocate your party to a different pool and/or implement a change of party activity since the contaminated pool must be cleared in accordance with King County Health Code. Should a contamination occur, party staff will do their best to keep you informed of the situation and available options. Refunds will be issued if there is no other alternative for an alternate pool activity or party activity to take place. |
