SPA Q & A
We have anticipated the following questions you might have as you make the decision to visit the Spa.
Should I make reservations for my treatments?
Yes, either phone or visit the spa to make reservations at your earliest convenience.
What if I need to cancel a spa reservation?
We hope you do not have to cancel. To avoid charges, please honor our 24 hour advance notice cancellation policy. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to a 100% fee.
How early should I arrive for my spa treatment?
Arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to your first appointment to allow yourself ample time to check in at the Athletic desk and to change. We recommend that you shower and begin to relax by using the whirlpool, steam room or sauna before your appointment.
Do I have to disrobe entirely for my spa treatment?
A robe has been provided for your privacy and out of consideration for our guests and therapist. When entering the treatment room, your therapist will leave the room to give you a chance to disrobe. Our therapists are trained to drape towels or sheets discreetly over any areas of your body not involved in the treatment and to protect your privacy at all times. For your comfort we supply women’s disposable undergarments; however, if you prefer, a bathing suit may be worn.
Is there anything I should avoid doing prior to a spa treatment?
We recommend that you do not eat one hour prior to receiving a massage or body treatment. Alcoholic beverages should not be consumed before any spa treatment. We ask that you do not shave your legs or underarms at least 24 hours prior to receiving a body treatment.
Should I take my jewelry off?
Please do not bring valuables to the Spa.
Should I avoid visiting the spa if I am pregnant?
Not at all, though you will want to avoid treatments using deep pressure and treatments involving heat. If you have any concerns, please check with the Spa prior to booking your appointment.
Should I alert someone if I have any physical ailments, disabilities or allergies?
Absolutely! In particular, if you have high blood pressure, suffer from allergies or are pregnant, notify our staff when booking your appointment. We’ll cover these and any other conditions on the medical intake form that you are required to complete prior to your first appointment.
How can I ensure a wonderful spa experience?
Communicate with us! Talking with your therapists will help them to customize your services to endure your maximum enjoyment.
May my children join me?
This is your day to relax and enjoy the experience. We kindly request that children not accompany you to your Spa visit.
What is the age requirement?
Children may enjoy spa services as well. Please understand that children under 18 may not receive a spa treatment alone and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Is there anything else I need to know?
Please turn off cellular phones and pagers prior to your treatment so you may enjoy some uninterrupted time for yourself, as well as, for others.
