View this week's construction activities and facility impacts
Due to construction on the Bellevue Club fitness expansion, the following areas will be temporarily affected:
Aerobics Studio
The Aerobics Studio will also have a temporary wall built the week of Nov. 12 to connect the two buildings together. This will decrease the size of the studio, so some group exercise classes will temporarily move to the gymnasium. During school holidays, fitness classes and programs held in the gymnasium will be canceled due to junior Recreation holiday camps. The scheduled timeframe will be similar to Studio 2.
Racquet Sports Area
This area includes the squash and racquetball courts, Junior Activity Center, Kids’ Camp Room, Kinesis Studio, Multipurpose Room and Pilates Studio. A temporary wall will be built the week of Nov. 12 to connect the lowest level of the two buildings together. For approximately five-and-a-half months, all junior Recreation programming will move to the gymnasium or Kids Korner room. The Pilates Studio will temporarily move to the Multipurpose Room. Yoga classes will move to the Aerobics Studio or Kids Korner room. Kinesis will be unavailable at first, but will temporarily return to the Racquet Sports Area while the new Kinesis studio is being completed in the new addition. Once finished, the Racquet Sports Area will be home to two 21-foot squash courts, two convertible racquetball/squash courts with sliding glass back walls, a Kids’ Camp room with a bathroom, a larger Kids Korner room, a Junior Activity Center and a multipurpose kids’ activity room. The scheduled timeframe is approximately five-and-a-half months.
Library
The social level library area will be expanded to the west, allowing for a much larger space to meet friends, read, work on your laptop or just relax. The temporary wall allowing for this expansion will be built the week of Nov. 12, closing the current library during construction. The scheduled timeframe is approximately five-and-a-half months.

Fitness group exercise class schedules and yoga schedules will be available at the Fitness Service Desk and Athletic Desk and downloadable from the Web site. Thank you for your understanding and patience during the construction of the fitness expansion. When it is completed, the new facility will offer larger yoga, Kinesis and Pilates studios; an elevator and bathrooms; and two full levels of fitness space with cardio and weight equipment and larger free weight and stretching areas.
