Elizabeth Hartpence became involved in Pilates in 2001 after struggling with chronic knee and ankle injuries. She began taking classes at Pilates Seattle International, eventually enrolling into the Pilates apprenticeship program. After 600 hours of training, Elizabeth received her Authentic Pilates teacher certification in January 2003. “My real education as a teacher has come since then helping hundreds of people improve their core strength, overall flexibility and isometric control of their muscles,” she says. “I really enjoy working with people as they discover how to move in new ways that increase their health and diminish pain.” “So many of our physical issues can be solved by bringing our awareness to these areas, and it is my job to give my clients exercises and movements that do just that.” |
