Gettin’ Hot in Here

The weather is taking a turn and hot toddies are a great way to warm your bones any time you are coming out of the cold. Below are a few of our favorite recipes, complete with local twists and flavors.

The Lemon Drop Hot Toddy

1.5 ounces Woodinville Whiskey Co. Bourbon 
1 teaspoon agave nectar
Splash of lemon

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the whiskey with a half cup of water (more or less water, depending on your desired strength), and heat until warm. Coat the bottom of a mug with the agave, and then carefully pour the hot mixture into it. Stir until the agave is dissolved. Add the lemon and enjoy.

Blackberry and Bourbon Hot Toddy

1.5 ounces Fremont Mischief Whiskey 
1 teaspoon Anna’s Blackberry Honey 
Splash of lemon

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the whiskey with a half cup of water (more or less water, depending on your desired strength), and heat until warm. Coat the bottom of a mug with the honey, and then carefully pour the hot mixture into it. Stir until the honey is dissolved. Add the lemon and enjoy.

Basic Organic Bourbon Hot Toddy

1.5 ounces Bainbridge Battle Point Organic Wheat Whiskey
1 teaspoon mild honey
Splash of lemon

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the whiskey with a half cup of water (more or less water, depending on your desired strength), and heat until warm. Coat the bottom of a mug with the honey, and then carefully pour the hot mixture into it. Stir until the honey is dissolved. Add the lemon and enjoy.
